How do I register?
- Registration is simple! We offer classes for grades 6-12, you can fill out our registration form here. For any inquiries or assistance, feel free to contact us on Viber by clicking this link or give us a call at 3319010.
If I am registering in the middle of the month, do I have to pay the full fee?
- No, you only need to pay for the remaining classes in the month. The next time you pay, you will be able to pay the full fee.
If I am registering within a few days of the month ending, do I still have to pay the full fee for that month?
- If you register before the 24th, you will be paying only for the remaining classes in the current month. Your next payment will be due on the 7th of the following month.
How do I add more classes?
- Adding more classes is easy! Simply visit our fee portal here.If you don’t see the option to add subjects, please don’t hesitate to contact us on Viber here or call us at 3319010 for assistance.
Is there a package for all subjects?
- Currently, we don’t offer any packages.
Do you offer physical/face-to-face tuition?
- Currently, we only offer online tuition for Grade 6-12 students. The fee for each subject per month ranges from 299-399 MVR.
Can we do O’Levels privately with Bright Minds?
- Students preparing for O’Level exams privately are welcome to join our classes for assistance and preparation. However, they are required to register for the O’Levels exams themselves.
What is A* Course and CC?
These are classes we offer for only grade 10 students.
Crash Course (CC) classes will cover the entire syllabus starting from the beginning of grade 9. Past paper questions will be discussed in class after each topic. These classes are ideal for students who have had difficulty in understanding the topics of grade 9.This intensive course provides a thorough review of Grade 9 concepts.
The A* Course is designed to cover the remaining topics of the Grade 10 syllabus. Past paper questions will be discussed in class after each topic. Additionally, difficult grade 9 topics will be revised before starting past paper discussions. These classes are ideal for students who understand the topics of grade 9 well.
How do I pay the monthly fee?
- Monthly fees can be conveniently paid from the fee portal between the 1st and 7th of each month. Visit here to make your payment.
When do I have to pay the monthly fee?
- Monthly fees should be paid between the 1st and 7th of each month through the fee portal here. Please make the payment and upload the payment slip before the deadline to avoid automatic suspension on the 8th.
What are the prices?
- For Grades 6-9: The monthly fee per subject is MVR 299.
- For Grade 10: Most subjects are priced at MVR 299 as a monthly fee, except for Biology CC, Chemistry CC, Physics CC, and Extended Math CC, which are priced at MVR 399 per subject per month.
- For A’Level students: The monthly fee per subject is MVR 399.
Which platform do you use to take the classes?
- We’ve developed our own student portal exclusively for our students. Through the portal, students can attend live classes, watch previous recordings, and ask teachers any questions they have! After completing registration, students will receive an SMS containing the student portal link along with their username and password.
How do I join the class?
- To join a class, students simply need to sign into our student portal using the username and password provided in the registration SMS. In the student portal, students will be able to view their class schedule. When it’s time for a class to begin, a “join” button will appear next to the class. Please download the Zoom application before the class starts so that the student is able to join easily.
Can we join using a phone?
- Absolutely! Students can join classes using any device of their choice.
Why does nothing happen when I click the join button?
- This issue sometimes occurs when using the Safari browser. If you encounter this problem, please download Google Chrome and log in to the student portal. You should be able to join the class after clicking the join button.
How can I contact the teachers out of class?
- Students can message the teachers anytime through the “chat” tab on the student portal.
Will teachers help with school homework?
- As we have many students from different schools in our classes, teachers are unable to provide individual assistance during class time. However, students can privately message their teacher through the student portal’s “chat” tab to clarify any doubts they may have.
Will teachers mark worksheets?
- Worksheets are not marked individually, but teachers will discuss the answers during class.
Can we have the contact numbers of the teachers?
We respect the privacy of our teachers and cannot share their contact numbers. However, students can easily communicate with their teachers by messaging them anytime through the student portal’s “chat” tab.
Can we have Aflah Sir’s number?
We cannot share the contact numbers of any teachers, including Aflah Sir. However, students can reach out to teachers via the student portal’s “chat” tab for any inquiries or assistance.
How qualified are the teachers? / What are the qualifications of teachers?
All our teachers are highly qualified professionals, with at least a Bachelor’s degree and several years of experience. Many of them have been part of the Bright Minds team for years, making them well-equipped to provide effective online tuition.
Can teachers give more attention to students who are slow/shy?
Unfortunately, as our classes are taken in groups with other students, we are unable to give individual attention. However, students are encouraged to message their teachers with any questions or concerns, and our teachers will help them to the best of their abilities.
Can we get private tuition?
Our online classes cater to students from Grade 6-12, with fees ranging from 299-399 MVR per subject per month. But currently, we do not offer private tuition services. All our classes are taken in groups of students.
Will students be able to ask questions in class?
Absolutely! Students are encouraged to ask questions during classes. Students can use the “raise hand” feature on zoom and turn on their mic to ask their question directly to the teacher. Alternatively, students can type their question in the chat to communicate with the teacher.
Where can I find the timetable?
- Where can I find the timetable?We have set specific timings for each grade and class. You can view our timetables from here.
Will the timetable change?
- We do understand the issue of time clashes, however we are unable to change the timetable. This is because the timetable is made according to the availability of the teacher and to avoid clashing with other classes of the same grade.
- We recommend watching the recording for any class that you are unable to attend.
Which syllabus do you follow?
- We study the syllabus provided by the Ministry of Education, as followed in government schools.
How many classes are there per week?
For Grades 6-9: There are two classes per subject per week.
For Grade 10: Most subjects have two classes per week, except for Biology CC, Chemistry CC, Physics CC, and Extended Math CC, which have three classes per week.
For A’Level students: There are three classes per subject per week.
Where can I find the recordings?
Previous recordings from the past academic year are available in the student portal under the “library” tab.
Where can I find the current class recordings?
- Current class recordings are available in the student portal under the “class recordings” tab.
